THE SEDONA PHOTOGRAPHY SYMPOSIUM 2021
ABOUT THE SEDONA PHOTOGRAPHY SYMPOSIUM 2021
The Sedona Photography Symposium is a program of the Sedona Camera Club, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities for photographers of all skill levels. We are pleased to greet all photo enthusiasts who want to nurture their creativity in one of the world’s most magnificent landscapes: Sedona, Arizona.
The Sedona Photography Symposium Is Now A Virtual Event!
Dear Friends of the Sedona Photography Symposium –
The Sedona Photography Symposium’s 2021 scheduled event “Unleash Your Inner Artist” has been modified to a live virtual conference to be held on Friday, August 13, 9 AM – 2:30 PM MST and Saturday, August 14, from 9 AM – 2:00 PM MST.
We are delighted to be able to offer our world-class symposium presentations in streaming form. In addition to eliminating the continuing uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this allows us to dramatically lower the ticket price, providing an extraordinary value for our audience!
Beginning at 9 AM MST on Friday, August 13, Deborah Sandidge will open the program with her keynote presentation on “The Essence of the Image.” Sandidge, an acclaimed Nikon Ambassador, author, and travel photographer emphasizes that “It’s not what you see, but what you feel that makes for better pictures.”
In addition, nationally renowned photographic artists Dan Ballard, John Barclay, Karen Hutton, Brenda Tharpe, and Mike Moats will deliver illuminating presentations on such topics as “Finding Your Signature Voice in Photography,” “Enhancing Creativity the Natural Way,” and using your power to “Dream – Believe – Create” to fashion your visual poetry. The cost for this virtual event is only $99 for the entire two-day program.
Adam Schallau, an Arizona photographer celebrated for his images published by Arizona Highways magazine, will conduct his enlightening three-day post-symposium workshops in person at the Grand Canyon on August 16 to 18 and August 18 to 20. However, all other Symposium workshops, field outings, and breakout sessions are canceled, and all ticket holders for these events will receive a full refund.
Please be aware that some pages of our web site are not yet updated to reflect these changes – but the Purchase Tickets Page is up to date.
The nonprofit Sedona Camera Club, the organizer of this event, is grateful to the presenters for their flexibility in rescheduling for this virtual event, which enables the club to continue offering this remarkable educational opportunity to photographers worldwide.
Current ticket holders for the 2021 Sedona Photography Main Symposium will automatically be transferred to the two-day virtual event and will be refunded the difference in the ticket price by June 17, 2021. Any Main Symposium ticket holders who purchased their ticket with a discount promo code will receive the same percentage discount when they are switched to the virtual symposium. Those who wish to cancel their symposium ticket altogether will be able to request a full refund by email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 15, 2021. After June 15, any requests for refunds will be honored less the 10% processing fee.
While this has been a difficult decision, we feel that it is the best decision for the safety of all concerned. The good news is that we can still offer exciting, world-class photography presentations viewed live in the comfort of your own home!

The 2021 Sedona Photography Symposium will be an interactive virtual event. Ticketholders will receive an email with instructions for connecting to the event.
